About Us.

The formation of the Obafemi Awolowo University student chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers was officially recognized on January 12, 2012. The student chapter which is under the Lagos section division of SPE NIgeria is vested with the mission to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. The student chapter comprises of students from the departments of Chemical Engineering, Electonics and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Material Science, Agric and Environmental Engineering, Biochemistry, Geology Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
